Now that the tennis season has finished, what should we expect for the coming one? 2011 is near to start and your favorite players will come back to the track for a new season. The attempt to obtain titles and Grand Slams will start again. Concerning the Women Tennis Association, new stars will emerge and reach the top ten.

Christina McHale is an American tennis player who is expected to take the lead in the American tennis after the Williams sisters’ retirement. She was able to move from 231 to top 100 in 2010. Her confidence is boosting match after match allowing her to overcome many old players. For the coming season, it is expected that she will reach top 50 if of course no injury takes place and 2011 will her year of progression.

Laura Robson is another tennis player to expect for the 2011 season. She won Wimbledon for juniors, which put her in the highlights of women tennis. She was not able to move quickly in ranking because of her young age. She will have to become top 100 for 2011 ranking by making good results at the beginning of the season. Becoming a 17 years old player, she will be qualified to play in Aussie Open and demonstrate her capabilities as the next British tennis star. For the coming season, Robson will be able to play more matches after the restrictions on her age. This way she will be able to upgrade her ranking. She is very good at serving; therefore, she is able to gain points easily.

A new star to be watched is the player Zarina Diyas. Now, Kazakstan is becoming a powerful nation in tennis. Zarina is 17 years old that showed strong determination. She was able to attract attention after reaching the quarter finals of Moscow where she lost against Maria Kirilenko. Zarina was able to reach top 200 after her performance in Moscow. With some experience, she will be able to reach top 100 and even challenge the top 20.

Other names to keep in mind for the next Women Tennis Association season are: Alya Tomljanovic from Croatia, Coco Vanderweghe from the US and Tara Moore from Czech Republic. The next 2011 season seems very competitive and interesting to watch.  The coming of new stars will create more suspense and more surprises will take place. The old players will confirm their superiority and the new ones will take over once they can.
